Image credit: energepic.com on pexels.com পরিণত বয়সে কারা সবচেয়ে অবহেলিত হয় জানো? যারা আর্থিকভাবে স্বাবলম্বী নয় অর্থাৎ ইংরেজি ভাষাতে যাঁদের বলে "Unemployed" এবং বাংলা ভাষায় "বেকার" । আর এই সত্যটা সারা পৃথিবীর ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য। প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক নারী কিংবা পুরুষ, আর্থিকভাবে স্বাধীন না হলে ঘর থেকে সমাজ সর্বত্র অবহেলিত হতে হয়।  বর্তমান যুগ ভীষণ অনিশ্চিয়তার যুগ। প্রতিটি পরিবারের সকল প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক সদস্যদের কম বেশী আর্থিকভাবে স্বাবলম্বী হওয়া উচিত। এতে যেকোনো পরিস্থিতিতে তাদের মধ্যে আত্মবিশ্বাস বজায় থাকবে।
